1. Make a Reservation by Phone

  • Primary Reservations Line: Call the Reservations Department at (516) 992-3783, available daily from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
  • After Hours: Call the main hotel line at (516) 889-1300 and press 1 to reach the 24-hour call center.
  • Guests must reference the Cornell University Block to receive the discounted rate.

2. Make a Reservation Online

Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Allegria Hotel website.
  2. Click “Book Your Stay” in the top right corner.
  3. Enter your dates of stay.
    • Important: If you enter dates outside the contracted dates, the discounted rate will not appear.
  4. On the left-hand side of the page, enter 2605Corn in the Group Code field (do not use the Promo Code field).
  5. Click Update to view available rooms and rates.

A one-night room + tax deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit is charged on the day the reservation is made.

The Closest major airport is John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) (≈12 miles / ~20–30 min by car, traffic permitting).

Getting to the Allegria Hotel from JFK Airport — Quick Options

  1. Taxi or Rideshare (Fastest Direct Option)
    1. A taxi or rideshare from JFK to the Allegria typically takes ~23 minutes in normal traffic.
  2. Tram + Train
    There is no direct JFK→Long Beach train, a transfer is required. Travel time is about 1 hr 12 min including transfers.
    1. Take the AirTrain JFK from your terminal to Jamaica Station.
    2. Transfer to the LIRR at Jamaica Station toward Long Beach. Buy a ticket from a ticket machine or in the TrainTime app before boarding, there is a surcharge if purchased on board. 
    3. From Long Beach Station, walk or take a short rideshare (hotel is ~4 blocks away)

3. Rental Car

  • You can rent a car at JFK and drive ~14–15 miles to Long Beach. Typical drive time is ~23–30 minutes, depending on traffic. The hotel offers valet parking for $50 per day. Public self-parking is also available in the area, with some free options and others requiring payment. Always check posted parking signs before leaving your vehicle.
